Psalm 32:1-2 tells us:
“Blessed is the one whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. Blessed is the man against whom the Lord counts no iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no deceit.”
What a joy it is to be forgiven! Not only do we know how imperfect we are, but God knows it better than us and in His love has chosen to forgive those who repent and believe on Christ. The Hebrew word in this passage for “blessed” is translated “Happy” - so this Psalm could also be translated: “Happy is the one whose transgression is forgiven, Whose sin is covered.”
